From Goldman Sachs to UPSC Topper: The Inspiring Journey of Aditya Srivastava to All-India Rank 1 in 2023

Aditya Srivastava, a Lucknow boy with the heritage of "Nawab" of the Mughal era, has by now obtained the UPSC Civil Services mains competitive exam 2023 All-India topper title. Instead of following the corporate world’s trite route blazed by Goldman Sachs, the unbelievably elevated realm of Indian civil services became Aditya Srivastava’s destiny along the way.

An IIT Kanpur graduate, Srivastava, has a degree in electrical engineering, PhD under the same stream, apart from MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur.

In 2019 Srivastava accomplished his passing into an adult’s world through a professional life that included working for the prestigious global Investment Bank, Goldman sacs. His role had to be in Bengaluru. Motivated by a dream of serving the country as a civil servant of the UPSC, Srivastava joined the preparation of the UPSC tests in a full dedication. This spirit made him leave his success and income behind in Goldman Sachs and return to Lucknow, where he had grown amidst plenty of social circles.

Different from typical approaches, Srivastava was researching effective measures of his own exploration through the reading of former years̢۪ tests, attending mock tests and taking part in interviews. Mr Srivastava emphasized the significance of strategic guidance and set-up the reality check of the difference between productive works and hard work, according to the report by Moneycontrol.

Srivastava didn't allow the hurdle, which was a setback in 2021, to be the end of the story, and he continued to drive forward to achieve his goal. The failures were her crucial guides to navigate her road to an achievement. Amongst many other candidates, his attempts was the 236th rank in his second attempt of UPSC in the year 2022. Although he had once again got rejection in 2022, he still pursued his dream of becoming a civil servant and was able to snatch first rank of the competition.

Very near to this, Animesh Pradhan occupied the second rank, on the other hand, Donaru Ananya Reddy seemed to have bagged the third spot.

The qualifiers of the UPSC examination are destined to assume pivotal roles in various government services such as the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service, and Central Services Group A and Group B.
