Introducing the Moto Edge 50 Ultra: Featuring Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 64MP 3x Periscope, and Real Wood Back

Remember the days when Motorola phones could be personalized with genuine wood backs? The latest offering from Motorola, the Edge 50 Ultra, is bringing back the option of real wood finishes, along with two vegan leather color choices - Forest Grey and Peach Fuzz, which happens to be Pantone's Color of the Year for 2024.

Introducing the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra in Nordic Wood:

Unlike its predecessor, the Edge 50 Ultra isn't just a follow-up model but an upgrade from the recently launched Edge 50 Pro. This Ultra variant boasts enhanced processing power and an improved camera setup compared to the Pro model.

Step Into the World of Forest Gray and Peach Fuzz Options:

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a significant upgrade from the 7 Gen 3 chip found in the Pro model, the Ultra offers ample RAM choices 12GB or 16GB (LPDDR5X) with room for more via RAM boost. Storage options include 512GB or 1TB (UFS 4.0).

The camera enhancements begin with a primary 50MP 1/1.3” sensor featuring omni-directional autofocus and OIS for the f/1.6 lens. A notable addition is the innovative 3x 72mm periscope, equipped with a 64MP sensor and a bright f/2.4 aperture. Additionally, there's a 50MP ultra-wide camera with autofocus for stunning macro shots. The camera setup also includes a laser autofocus system and a 3-in-1 sensor for improved exposure, auto white balance, and flicker detection.

On the front, there's a 50MP sensor with autofocus for crystal clear selfies. All three cameras support 4K video recording at 60fps, along with slow-motion modes for captivating footage.

Embracing the Era of AI:

In line with the AI trend of 2024, the Edge 50 Ultra features AI technology for seamless camera adjustments, automatic focus tracking, and optimization of images for enhanced detail and clarity.

Immersive Display and Premium Design:

The phone boasts a curved 6.7 P-OLED display with a high resolution of 2,712 x 1,220px and a fast 144Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the display supports HDR10+ and comes Pantone validated for color accuracy. The phone sports an aluminum frame, Gorilla Glass Victus on the front, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Advanced Features:

The Edge 50 Ultra is packed with impressive features such as 50W wireless charging, 125W TurboPower charging, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and UWB for accurate distance readings. It also supports USB 3.2 and DisplayPort 1.4 connectivity.

The phone will be available in select European countries soon, with a starting price of €1,000. Stay tuned for more updates on this cutting-edge device.
